Keeping you moving through injury
Keeping you moving through injury
Bridging the gap between clinical treatment and performance coaching - helping driven Hyrox and hybrid athletes stay pain-free, race more quickly, and train without interruption.
Helping you break free from the cycles of injury.

Andrew Thirlwell is a sports osteopath and performance rehab specialist based in the north east of England. Andy works with active individuals and competitive athletes to resolve injury, restore function, and build the physical resilience to keep performing at their best.
His practice sits at the intersection of clinical care and performance coaching - offering a more complete, integrated approach than traditional treatment alone.
-
Combining hands-on osteopathic treatment with movement-led assessment and structured programming. Every client receives a thorough assessment to identify not just the site of pain, but the underlying driver behind it.
From there, we build a plan that addresses immediate symptoms and the longer-term factors that put you at risk - whether that's tissue capacity, movement quality, or training load management.

TSO combines hands-on treatment with movement-led assessment and evidence-based programming. We work with active individuals who demand more from their bodies - and from their recovery.
Rather than offering short-term relief, we look to address the root cause of injury and builds the physical foundation to prevent it from returning.
Reduce pain and resolve injury at the source
Improve movement quality and resilience
Support long-term performance, not short-term relief
Working with a three-phase, evidence-based framework designed to rebuild tissue capacity, optimise movement, and structure training load.

About Andy.
Andy is the founder of The Sports Osteo and a former international swimmer who represented Great Britain. Having experienced first-hand the physical and emotional impact of a career-ending injury, he developed a deep interest in helping active people overcome injury and stay involved in the sports they love.
His journey has taken him through studies in psychology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and osteopathy, giving him a broad understanding of both performance and rehabilitation.
Today, Andy combines osteopathy, sports medicine, and strength and conditioning principles to help athletes and active individuals recover from injury, improve performance, and keep doing what matters most to them.
